Laptop DC Power Jack Repair
Laptop DC power jack repair is a very common problem. When the AC adapter gets pulled out at a bad angle or accidently tugged out, the internal jack can come loose from the board, preventing the power connection to work. DC jack repair is a very sensitive and difficult task to do since the entire laptop has to be completely disassembled to get to the jack... but don't worry, because not only can we do it, but we have completed hundreds of DC power repairs on Dells, Sony, HP, Toshiba and practically any brand of laptop. This requires an initial diagnostic disassembly whereby we determine whether the jack can be repaired and that nothing else is wrong. Often times we can reuse the existing jack, but if it is too badly damage the jack itself may require replacement. We will then re solder the jack on and reinforce it to help prevent it from breaking off again.
